Here at Tollerhill kennels we strive to produce top quality Tollers that are
versatile in every sense of the word. Our main objective is to produce dogs
that are healthy, structurally sound, highly trainable and retain the hunting
instincts of the breed.
In order to accomplish this all our breeding stock is health tested prior to
being bred. We make every effort to ensure that the puppies being produced
will be healthy and happy. Structure is critical in producing the well rounded
Toller because if a dog is not structurally sound then it will not be able to
perform well in any type of dog sport like Competative Obedience, Flyball,
Agility, Tracking or field events just to name a few.
We also want to produce dogs that have the right kind of temperament. This
means we want dogs that are highly trainable and are willing to work for their
owners. If the dog is to be a cherished family pet then a stable temperament
is a must. We also want to produce dogs that are easily trained and loyal
companions. Tollers were initially bred to be hunting companions and
therefore not only had to be quick learners but also had to work closely with
the hunter to perform their duties properly. We strive to retain these qualities
in the Tollerhill dogs we produce.
All our puppies are raised in the kitchen of our house and are exposed to the
hussle and bussle of everyday life. They are well socialized with all different
age groups, other dogs and the sights and sounds of normal family life.
